Stupid Mac Games

October 28, 2008

So, it appears that people out there just don’t seem to think that us Mac users should play games. Why do I say this. Because it appears that these online game sites, none of them make their games available to the mac. I have yet to find one, if you know of any that have good games that are available on the mac. I would be happy to know. But for the mean time I am wanting to try out this new stupid Bejeweled twist game that I read about on digg…. And what do you know. Its not available on the mac. At least not of yet.
Anyways, Stupid Mac Games isn’t my only reason for writing this blog. I aslo thought that I would update ya all with what was going on in my life since I haven’t wrote a blog in a while. This past weekend Mike, My mom, and I all went into Ketchikan. I guess it was fun. Although I was wanting to get my hair cut, and it appeared that I must of had a look about me or something because no one wanted to cut my hair. Oh well, life I guess. We also went to the movies with my nephew Shawn and neice Jessica, and we watched High school Musical 3. It was pretty good I seemed to enjoy it. And I think the rest of us did to.
Then we are nearing Halloween this coming Friday. Mike and I are going to make some cute little cupcakes for the kids at school, and we carved our pumpkins today. Tomorrow I will get a picture of us with our pumpkins and upload them onto myspace. Then on Nov. 1st is the Halloween Carnival. So that should be fun. It will be Mikes first time in Alaska for that.
Also, school is going pretty good I guess. However, once again I am contemplating the idea of changing my major. The fact is I have no damn clue what I want to do. Lol. I started out with highschool education, changed to accounting, and am now thinking about the possibilities of early childhood education or business. However, at one point I even contemplated the idea of Special Education. But I really have no idea. If you ask me, maybe I shouldn’t be in college. Maybe I should attempt something like a postal exam, and go for working in a post office.
Last thing, Mike and I are thinking about going to Montana and Coos Bay for christmas. I can’t wait. I have never been to Montana, so that will be an interesting experience. Plus we haven’t seen Michaels family in awhile so that will be good. Then we will get to go to Coos Bay and see my cousins new little baby due the 25th of December!

Oregon & Weird Green Creepy Crawlies (Bugs)

October 14, 2008

Michael and I have finally come to the end of our week journey in the state of Oregon with our lovely pt cruiser and the nice best western. It was a relatively boring trip. As all we did was do some Christmas shopping, and see friends for momentarily short periods… Shells for like 5 minutes and Sasha for like an hour or so. Anyways, we plan on heading back down towards Oregon probably in December or so. Depends on families plans. We also got to eat at Denny’s, Dairy Queen, Yangs, Red Robbin, and of course Road House. All the places that we were dying to go. Also we got to go watch Sex Drive in the theatre a show Michael and I were wanting to watch it was a great funny movie! We also went and got coffee from Starbucks, which was nasty by the way and from Dutch Bros. Who has the best coffee on the face of the earth. Well maybe not that great but its good:) Anyways this is where the story of the Green Creepy Crawlie comes in apparently when we picked up coffee somehow this beautiful green creepy crawly thingy majiger. It was almost impossible to kill. I hit it several times and the creepy thing just kept crawling off anyways I think it was a green stink bug. Kinda disturbing if you ask me. Anyways, michael finally killed the stupid thing, well almost it quit crawling all over then we stopped at Taco Bell to get food and i noticed it was kicking its legs to i squished it in half and it was still kicking! So I squished it again, and well it finally quit. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. Well anyways all we got left of our trip is the final destination to home! Hopefully it goes good. I will update you and let you know.

May 23, 2008

So.. I havent wrote a post in a long time and thought I would write a half way updated one. Well, I’m getting ready to possibly be going and watching a movie with Sasha at 3:05, Made of Honor , I am thinking that it should be relatively good… it sounds good. I will update later and let you guys now how it was. Last week I went and watched What Happens In Vegas I really like it. I thought it was relatively funny. It had everyone, in the packed theatre that we were in laughing. It was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time, but of course I havent went and watched movies in a long time… So that could be one reason.
Also, mike and I will have to be sharing a computer all weekend, becuase his macbook had the harddrive go out of it. He borrowed a computer from the school, but since Monday is a holiday he has to take it back tonight, and will be out of a computer until Tuesday. So that kinda sucks. Hopefully he will get his macbook back sometime soon.
Were also getting ready to head to Alaska in 23 days, I’m hoping Mike likes it… Since well I’m kinda dragging him up there to live. We arent sure if were going to take summer classes yet, we were going to take some throught WOU but he found out that since he dont have enough credits to be considered a Sophmore, becuase of taking a month off for Guide Dog training that he can not get financial aid for summer term. So… We dont know if we are going to take some through Distance Ed in Alaska, or what we will do about that.
Also, I thought I would just post a random thing that I found in my old emails. That I thought you all would enjoy, becuase well, I’m bored. Smile. And Im sure if you taking the time to read this boring blog you are to… lol.

A four-year-old child, whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman, who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy just said, ‘Nothing, I just helped him cry.’

Teacher Debbie Moon’s first graders were discussing a picture of a family One little boy in the picture had a different hair color than the other members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted.

A little girl said, ‘I know all about adoption, I was adopted..’

‘What does it mean to be adopted?’, asked another child.

‘It means’, said the girl, ‘that you grew in your mommy’s heart instead of her tummy!’

On my way home one day, I stopped to watch a Little League base ball game that was being played in a park near my home. As I sat down behind the bench on the first-base line, I asked one of the boys what the score was?

‘We’re behind 14 to nothing,’ he answered with a smile.

‘Really,’ I said. ‘I have to say you don’t look very discouraged.’

‘Discouraged?’, the boy asked with a puzzled look on his face….

‘Why should we be discouraged? We haven’t been up to bat yet.’

Whenever I’m disappointed with my spot in life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott.

Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told me that he’d set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen.

On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement. ‘Guess what, Mom,’ he shouted, and then said those words that will remain a lesson to me…..’I've been chosen to clap and cheer.’

An eye witness account from New York City , on a cold day in December, some years ago: A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering with cold.

A lady approached the young boy and said, ‘My, but you’re in such deep thought staring in that window!’

‘I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes,’was the boy’s reply.
The lady took him by the hand, went into the store, and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy. She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel. He quickly brought them to her.

She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and,

removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with the towel.

By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks. Placing a pair upon the boy’s feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes.

She tied up the remaining pairs of socks and gave them to him… She patted him on the head and said, ‘No doubt, you will be more comfortable now.’

As she turned to go, the astonished kid caught her by the hand, and looking up into her face, with tears in his eyes, asked her.

‘Are you God’s wife?’

Well Hope you all have a good day and weekend!
